Omar Shata
Legal professional with experience in high-value international arbitration and complex transactions. Involved in ICC, ICSID, and CRCICA arbitrations seated in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, with disputes ranging from USD 16 million to EUR 647 million, covering construction, shareholder, expropriation, and commercial matters. Contributed to quantum, interest, non-signatory, and fraud-related issues, including drafting submissions in CRCICA’s first Emergency Arbitrator case under the 2024 rules.
Also participated in major acquisitions in Egypt, cross-border litigation before the French courts in collaboration with Freshfields, and prepared legal opinions in the Oil & Gas sector relating to debt recovery and concession assignments.
